Caravan Seasonal Pitches
Finding caravan seasonal pitches on the web can be a very much hit and miss affair. I
have literally have spent weeks of surfing the net on an evening trying to find caravan seasonal pitches which
ticks all the boxes of requirements for me and my family.
One of the main things that I have found difficult, is trying to find a site that will either be open all year
round, or caravan sites that will also store your caravan during the off season months to again save on the
required travelling with your caravan.
Out of all the camping and caravanning sites which do seem to open all year, most seem to split their seasons
into two, summer and winter. The summer season mainly appears to be between the months of March until October,
whilst the winter season is the remaining months of November through until February.
When trying to find caravan seasonal pitches, check whether the prices they quote cover all the costs necessary
for the year or season.
For instances, I have been recently quoted £1800 for a 12 month all year season, but there are additional costs for
the electric. Some charge for extra people and cars, so ensure you check the fine print.
If you have an awning for your caravan, does the caravan seasonal pitch arrangement allow you to leave it up in
your absence? Obviously it would be easier if they did, so you would not have to bother with putting it up when you
arrived for a weekend break. You might, however, like to remove it in the winter months when you are not there. UK
winter weather can get quite stormy and the last thing you would like to find is your awning in tatters.
In summary, really good caravan seasonal pitches are there to be found it you look hard enough. Even if the
caravan sites do not advertise seasonal pitches, give them a call and 9 times out of 10 a deal can be done.
